We were married on Saturday, August 13, 2005. Both the wedding and the reception were held at the Windemere Hotel and Conference Center in Mesa, AZ. We had approximately 70 guests there, including 21 who had traveled in from out-of-town. We had 6 members of Dave's family, co-workers from both workplaces, and plenty of friends. On Thursday, August 18, we were legally married in Vancouver, BC, Canada! Unfortunately, that gains us no rights in the U.S., but it was important to us to "get the paper."
We spent 5 days in Vancouver, then took a 7-day all-gay cruise through the Alaska panhandle.
